T minus 24

Tomorrow at this time i will sit in a classroom or rescue people on the river Rhine … to hopefully pass my Yachtmaster Coastal exam. I needed to push me this week to finally start with the learning, which wasn’t so easy – As you might remember: I am buying a row boat at the moment, which is pretty exiting and not helping at all to stay focused on this exam. Anyways, I did my 20 test papers (30 questions each + Navigation charts), i know the maneuvers, even know all the knots. The theory is not really that hard, but you still need to memorize all the answers to hit the complex patterns in the end. And this is pretty much work. You want an example?

Yachtmaster Coastal German.pdf (sadly just in german!)

Anyways … this is just the beginning. I still have two exams left this year (Pyro-license and VHF SRC). And next year i need to make a theory for this big, big, .. did i say BIG!, Yachtmaster Ocean license.

However … Please, fingers crossed for tomorrow and stay away from the river Rhine around midday 😉
