I will spend 16 hours this weekend in a course to get my boat licence, which is required to get the next license (yachtmaster). At first i was unsure, if i really need to take a course or if i can learn the stuff by myself, but right now, i have to admit, it is a lot of fun. It’s not that hard and easy to understand, so just a lot of questions and answers you finaly have to memorize for the examination and that’s it. I don’t worry too much about navigation and stuff. I also will try to get my pyro-license on the same day, so i am quite relaxed. After that, i go for the SRC (Radio-license) and the First Aid & Sea Survival Course. Seems i can get these until end of this year. Good progress!

Dieses Wochenende gehört dem Intensivkurs zum SBF-See Schein. Wow, wie Fahrschule … was ist das lang her! War ich am Anfang noch unsicher, ob ich denn unbedingt den Kurs benötige, oder doch den Kram komplett selbst lerne, so muss ich jetzt zugeben, dass der Unterricht wirklich Spaß macht und die letzten Befürchtungen ob der Theorie- und Praxisprüfung nimmt. Der Stoff ist nicht wirklich schwer, zumal ich ja ausreichend gebüffelt habe – aber mit einem Kursleiter an der Seite schnappt man dann doch manche Eselsbrücke auf (‘Grün auf Weiß = Fischerscheiss!’ [sic!]) und wird sich kleinerer Fehler überhaupt erst bewusst. Jetzt sehe ich der Prüfung relativ locker entgegen. Sicher, es ist eine Menge zu lernen, keine Multiple-Choice Fragen, Navigationsaufgaben, Praxisturn & Manöver – aber ich werde jetzt versuchen gleich den Pyroschein noch am selben Tag abzuhaken. Also, ich bin total entspannt. Zwei mal acht Stunden, Samstags und Sonntag, an einem Wochenende – dazu 2 oder 3 Praxisstunden für die Manöver, Prüfung, fertig.
